Simon Millar

CEO - Albanwise Insurance Services

Simon started his career in 1990 at Great Portland Estates plc, where he worked for eight years rising to be Insurance Manager. During that time he developed a close understanding of client side issues, and had to deal with significant claims resulting from the Baltic Exchange and Bishopsgate bombings.

Taking this property experience into the world of insurance broking in 1999, he has developed a loyal and diverse client base within the property and construction sectors, having worked for a number of real estate insurance brokers. After a five years mostly outside of the insurance industry, he has returned in June 2020 as CEO of Albanwise Insurance Services, a property focused insurance brokerage that forms part of a much larger private property group with diversified interests.

Outside of work, Simon is married with two grown up daughters, and is heavily involved with Rugby Union, both as an increasingly occasional player and administrator with Huntingdon Rugby Club and East Midlands Rugby Union. He is also on the Court of Assistants of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers, and is the Chair of Trustees for Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity supporting bereaved Armed Forces children, that the Monopoly Network have in the past raised money for through an annual Charity Ball.

Simon is a founding board member of the Monopoly Network.
