Outside of Bureau Veritas, Steve is a keen and competitive yachtsman and has raised thousands of pounds for charity through his life-long love of sailing. He is also an enthusiastic long-distance and marathon open water swimmer and cyclist.

During Steve’s earlier career he worked at Tarmac/Carillion PLC, several Local Authorities, ran his own business, HCD Group, and served in the Parachute Regiment.
